POLL: Where would you renew your vows?
A little bored at work and kind of curious. I asked DH where he would want us to renew our vows and he said Vegas...

Finally! A Married Bio!!
That's a great, interesting question. DH and I married in my home state of IL, so I know it's more practical to have a vow renewal ceremony in NY, but our reception was such a ball that I kept telling everyone we would have to "do it again," at a vow renewal party, but that would be in IL.
Who knows, since DH is from the beautiful Caribbean, when we go back to visit, maybe we'll plan it there so his family and friends who couldn't be at the wedding, can share in the experience.
My question is, seems like more people who have been married less than 10 years, renew their vows. Is there really a set number of years, most couples go for it? Like after the 10 year mark?
I always thought the 10th year was the time to renew but I know Jon & Kate did it after 9 years (not the best example, I know). There are also people who couldn't afford a wedding and got married at city hall who decide to do it 2-5 years later. So I guess it's at the couple's discretion. I think we'll wait til our 10th, by then we should be able to have a really great party and our daughter will be 12 years old and old enough to have a hand in it.
By ourselves on a beach somewhere! Our wedding was such a huge production. I loved it, but on our wedding night I told DH I wanted to do it all over again and just elope to a tropical place! (I was veeeerrry tired and sick as a dog by the time our wedding night rolled around).
DH & I got married here in brooklyn. We had a huge wedding and in the end, we probably would've been happier in mexico. So that's where we're gonna do it in a few years.?
Unless of course we find somewhere else we like better. ?
I was so sick for my wedding too. I had such a high fever that I almost fainted on the alter in the temple. You can totally see it in my video too. And the wedding pictures you can see my face getting redder & redder as the tylenol wore off. LOL ?
I'd want to renew our vows with just the two of us at an inn that we stayed at near West Point when we first started dating. They have this beautiful giant sycamore tree in a clearing that is the perfect spot.

maybe on a beach or in the mediterranean or in paris/france or underwater while scuba diving or where DH proposed or....
but i definitely agree about just being the two of us - or a couple close family.
