Best place for used appliances?

Hey Ladies!

?? We are looking to buy a new/nice used ?washer and dryer combo. ?I just want them to be big, and working! ?We are looking to spend around $400 each. ?Where have you bought your washer and dryers? ?Thanks!

Re: Best place for used appliances?

  • We bought ours at LH Brubaker in the Fall when they were having a warehouse sale.  You may want to contact them to see if they have anything left over in their warehouse.

  • oo, good idea, i thought about them. ?do they have the whole "dented" section too there? ?

?PS: ?for everyone else, we'd like to look in the Lancaster/York area?

  • Rombergers Appliances

We've gotten new and used appliances from them.

  • We got our fridge at Gochenauers in East Pete and they have tons of stuff! We got a washer and dryer through DH's work, but otherwise we would have gotten them there in their dented section to save money:)

Yes, during their warehouse sale they had dent appliances too.

  • I second Romberger's. I had gotten a washer and dryer there, when I was first on my own. Also, my grandparents have gotten things there for years.

  • Thanks for all of the recommendations! ?We are moving June 6 so I hope to get in and order the stuff soon.
  • I'd check Craigslist.  You'd be amazed at the perfectly good stuff that people get rid of just because they've upgraded to something a little newer :)
