Reason # 94757374559 why I shouldnt cook...lol
I was just cooking a piece of meat in the pressure cooker and apparently had it in a bit too long....my whole house is filled with smoke and the meat is ruined! Good times and huge waste of energy!

Me too...Ironically mh loves it
Perhaps they should scare me more...LOL Clearly I am inept with using them!
Funny that MH also LOVES meat cooked in the pressure cooker!
that sucks!
we registered for a pressure cooker for the wedding and I just busted it out of the box last weekend to steam artichokes...uh, almost 2 years post-wedding.
Am I the only one who doesn't know what a pressure cooker is?
It's a contraption that you feel like is going to explode at any moment and spray soup or meat or whatever all over the place and scald you. It's scary.
LOL NCM. Its a pot with a locking lid that allows the meat to cook under pressure and release steam. It cooks meat faster and supposedly with more flavor.

Just like ssinca, I have only used mine to cook artichokes. It cooks them perfectly. I am still scared of them even though they tell you the new ones are safe and have safety measure in place.
How long did you cook the meat? I was under the impression it cooks meat really quickly.
