Good morning!
Did everyone have a good night? Any big plans for today?
Re: Happy Thursday!
I'm so glad it's Thursday! My dad arrived yesterday - yay! It's so good to see him!
The house is still a mess but we're making progress. The contractor came on Tuesday and wrote up their estimate so we're waiting for the insurance company to approve it then they can start to rebuild! We are getting all new carpeting in the Star Wars room, all new carpeting upstairs - everywhere, including the stairs except our room (we're probably going to pay the extra $$ to have our room done too just to keep it all the same) and new tile in the bathroom. Should take about 2 weeks for everything. We also had our couch "totaled out" yesterday by another company so once we get that approved by the insurance company we'll be getting a new couch (it's a sectional with a sofabed and a recliner). Anyone know of a good but not too expensive place to get furniture?
Last night I had a Jr League meeting for next year (starts in June). Since I'm chairing a committee I had to go and learn what I need to do!
It was actually a fun night!
Nothing going on today...just work then tonight just hanging out with mom, dad, DH and Sarah!
Hope everyone has a great day!
Tonight, I have no plans. I am thinking maybe I would go to sleep super early tonight. That sounds so good right now!
Last night we didn't do much. I am leaving work early today for a doctor appointment : )
Tonight we are having some friends over to watch the Laker game and try out our new hookah (me not included obvoiusly, they'll be outside). I was thinking of making dinner for everyone, but pizza is sounding so much easier right now...
Morning
C was asleep by 8:30, P & I went to bed moments later. This week was been loooooooong. Tonight we're going to happy hr w/some friends.
Side note, my foot's asleep. *hits foot against floor*
Good morning. Last night we went to the park and then ate and watched some TV. During which I paid some bills and cleaned up around the house.
I have a question though...Mary screams. She laughs after she does it so I it's a playful scream but it's ear piercing and really annoying. Has anybody else gone through/going through this? It's really annoying.
Totally normal!! She's discovering all of the different sounds she can make! WTG, Mary!
Oh no! I'm so sorry! I know that the Kindercare we take Sarah to offers part-time care (the other daycare we looked at didn't...).
Kat: That blows. I hope you find a daycare soon. We just found out they're taking away fridays (again). DC doesn't provide a discount unless he goes 3 times a week. Even then the discount is $30. ay yi yi so needless to say I can relate. *fingers crossed*
Kristy: YES! C does it when he decides it's time for some attention. lol Last night we laid him on the play mat so we could make dinner & what not. He was just screeching away. It makes me laugh. P not so much. lol
Val - dh has been wanting a to get a hooka for awhile now
Kristy - our friends little girl would do that when she got to about Mary's age. They would just tell her no and shoosh.
Kat- oh that sucks! I hope it all works out.
Robyn - we have a couple different shops that we buy ours from (we have multiple, including travel sized). The big ones are so expensive. Luckily DH's friend has a house in Lebanon. He brought us back one from there last week, it's very tall and beautiful, not to mention they are SO cheap there.
Hi everyone! Yesterday we finished the nursery. I told the baby that he can come now
. Dh went to Trader Joes for us and picked up some grocery's (yay!). Oh, and I received two notices via certified and regular mail telling me that I have my job back for next year!!! They don't know where I will be placed but......I have a job. That was really good news. I guess enough people in the district decided to take the retirement package they were offering. Today I might waddle down to Target to return a few things and poke around.

Lori-That's what my friend told me too. I guess it's time to accept it.
I wish she could discover it in a cuter way. Like when she talks to her toys or me. But I just hope this is a phase. I am learning to tune it out so there is a plus. It just makes it near impossible to go places.
Thanks ladies. The biggest prob is we only need care for maybe an hour or so in the middle of the day. All the daycares we called only offered part time from 8-12:30. Or we could pay for a whole day and just drop them and pick them whenever we wanted. It would only be $235 a week for one kid. 2 of them wouldn't even take Joaquin cause he's too young.?
So it looks like our only daycare option would be an at home daycare. I just really hope one of us can get a transfer to a different dept.
Yay for the nursery and super yay for the job. That's fantastic news. You really got pregnant at the perfect time (maternity leave to correspond with the summer vacay!)
Morning!
Last night was pretty good. I finally feel better so work was actually nice. My boss gave me a gift card (and a hug) to thank me for working while I was so sick. On Sunday he sent me home as soon as I got there but asked me to come back and close the store since I am the only one who knows how (we have a new system). I thought that was nice!
Today I need to continue to tackle laundry and shop for baby shower invites.
That's awesome about the job!
Thanks ladies
