How soon did you start transitioning work in preparation for maternity leave? There is this woman who keeps bugging me and I am not going out until the end of July. I have been thinking that she also wants to take over my job as well and I want a job to come back to. Maybe I am just being paranoid or maybe it's that I like my career and ma having a hard time letting go. Not sure. Just wanted to see if either of you felt this way as well.
Also, and this may be tmi, but my one boob feels really really hard. Did this happen to either of you? I go to the ob on Monday, so I am going to bring it up then. I don't want to overreact and say I can feel something in there. Just curious.
Thanks.
Re: Melanie & Caro
My work situation may be a little different than your's because there are a number of us that all do the same job but just work on different clients. I also didn't have a transition period because David came over 4 weeks early.
Anywho, I went through my client list and things that I new needed to go out while I was on leave was re-assinged. Clients that didn't need to go out until after I left, stayed on my list (for the most part).
I also had to fill out a flex schedule agreement with HR (since I work from home 2 days a week) and get it approved by my department head.
As far as the boob thing goes, I don't remember that happening. Your body could just be in the process of getting the milk production started. Although it's just colustrom (sp is way, way off) now.
