Defrosting year old cake...

Do you think I should put the cakes in the refrigerator tonight if we plan to eat them on Saturday? Or should I wait until tomorrow?

Re: Defrosting year old cake...

  • I'd wait till tomorrow. Be prepared it may not taste as good as it did a year ago!!!

I think I took mine out two days in advance.  It tasted great!
  • I already figured it wouldn't taste that good. I wrapped it sooo many times using different tupperware and then plastic wrap and foil (x3). We shall see.. I am kind of excited to try it though.. heheh
  • I would take it out now, it won't hurt it.
  • I took mine out of the freezer 3-4 days in advance and had it in the fridge for the rest of the time..that morn (that we were planning on eating it) I put it on the counter to get room temp.  It was awesome!  I tasted like that day!  I gave my mom a peice and she loved it!!
