Re: TGIF!

  • Good morning. I am having a garage sale tomorrow. Every year Chapman heights does it on this weekend. My closet looks so clean right now. :)

That's really my only plans. Have a good one.

  • Tonight, I am gettin Sushi with an old coworker which I am looking forward to since I haven't seen her in several months. Tomorrow I want to get a pedi and the rest of the weekend I have no plans. Just relaxing!

  • Morning everyone!

I got into Boston yesterday am and today I'll be running some errands with my sister then getting ready for my 10 yr HS reunion tonight.

Tomorrow shopping with my mom and sisters

Sun - meeting up with 2 of my sorority sisters for a meal (havent decided if it will be brunch, lunch or dinner yet :) )

  • It's my last day of work!! Wohoo!! I will be on maternity leave and I am looking forward to it!. I just hope baby bear keeps baking and gives me at least a week to myself!

Tonight - we have this awards dinner event. I broke down and bought a dress, I just couldn't wear a jersey knit dress to a fancy event. I ended up getting a non-maternity dress that actually fits over my baby bump in a size bigger than I usually wear. I figure I can wear it again later since it is black and hopefully just have to take it in when I lose the baby weight (hopefully)

Saturday and Sunday - just resting and laundy.

Yes, I wish I had had a little time off before R came. My last day of work was supposed to be this past Wednesday. I hadn't finished up all my work and had plans to clean out some junk from my closets in the days before having her. Bummer, but I wouldn't trade it in for anything.

Today my dad is taking me out for a belated birthday dinner. Saturday and Sunday we are having family and friends come by to meet Rachel.

  • Sher-Yey for the maternity leave

Irma-So does that mean that your father was there to see Rachel's bday?

Today Dh is getting his wisdom teeth?taken out. Than my parents are taking both kids for the weekend so it will be our first baby free weekend since Joaquin was born and my first night away from the baby.?

Nope. He didn't even know about her until Monday when he called my brother. He arrived home from his European excursion on Tuesday night and met her on Wednesday. He insisted that she would be late!

  • happy hr was fun last night. I'm super bummed today. we're suppose to hang out tomorrow & I woke up w/neck pain, AGAIN. :( I hope it goes away.

    happy friday.

He's almost 65 years old, but I'm hoping he will learn from this that he should listen to other people once in a while!

I'm not too broken up about it because I really believe R was my Mother's Day gift from my mom. That makes it all better.

It's impossible to hold a grudge for very long when you looked into that beautiful face huh? Gives you a whole new perspective on life.?

This is what happens when people insist a baby will be late. My bro and SIL said the same thing and low and behold...8 days early while they were still in Hawaii.

Sorry he wasn't there for it. What day was your Moms birthday again? I am so happy she came on Mothers day. I think that was a gift from your Mom too. So sweet!

  • My mom's birthday is tomorrow.

Kat, you are right. Holding a grudge won't change anything. I think missing out was punishment enough for him and I don't need to make it worse. She won't remember that he wasn't there and as long as he is a good grandpa to her as he is to my niece, that's all that matters anyway.

  • That's right. I remembered it was a teen number just couldn't remember exactly.
  • TGIF!

Tomorrow, H, my mom, my sister and I are volunteering at the H.O.P.E. pet adoption and then going out for lunch. Sunday I don't think I have any plans!

  • Happy Friday!

I am headed up to La Verne to get my hairs did tomorrow.

No plans Sunday other than driving back to Carlsbad.

My life is so exciting. ?;)

Sher: ?Congrats on your last day of work for awhile!?

After 2 rounds of IVF & 2 rounds of FET, we were blessed with identical twin girls!

    She was a great gift!!

  • Happy Friday!  We have been soooo busy doing stuff lately, we decided to lay low this weekend and just stay home.  We'll probably watch a ton of movies and plant some flowers.  We just got some new blinds we need to hang too.  that's about it!

  • TGIF!!! Friday could not have come fast enough for me!

This week has been long at work...with the warm weather and about 4 weeks left of school, the kids are getting antsy and my fuse is shorter than normal. I actually threw a kid's research paper on the floor today in 6th period because it was obvious that he copied and pasted, but he denied it. Ehh, I shouldn't have done that! It was about the 6th paper that was obviously copied and pasted. If they put the info in quotes and attribute the info, I don't care. But when they try to pass it off as their own writing, I get mad (it's the former journalist in me!)

I am house sitting for my parents for the next week, so this weekend is just hanging out at their house, watching the dogs, watching as much TV as possible (while grading 60+ five to ten page research papers) since we don't have TV at my condo, and possibly getting a haircut. Nothing too exciting. :)
