So I suppose my husband and I are giving each other the ultimate gift as we are expecting a baby on Oct. 25 (though we think it will be gracing our presence sooner than that). But anyway, our anniversary is Nov. 11 and I'm looking for some gift ideas. I'm not sure what we are doing for our anniversary yet as we are waiting to find out when the little bundle is arriving, but I don't want to wait on the gift. I'd like to find it now while I have the time. Any creative ideas? Cheap though. I thought about getting him a cheap ring for work since his is getting all screwed up there and we almost had to have it cut off a few weeks ago when he was in an accident at work...but his finger changes sizes so frequently. I'm not sure. Ideas are appreciated.
Re: Anniversary Gifts
Our anniversary is on November 11th too! Congratulations!
My husband and I are planning on going to Vegas to celebrate. I have never been there and he's always wanted to take me. Not sure where you live but my gift to him is a ticket for a Ride-Along at the Richard Petty Driving School. Basically, for $100 he'll get to "ride shotgun in a 2-seat stock car driven by a professional instructor for a 3-lap NASCAR qualifying run at speeds exceeding 165." I would sign him up to drive the car himself but he doesn't know how to drive stick. My husband always claims he wants to be a racecar driver so this is his chance to experience it. The ticket for the ride-along stays with the paper theme for 1st year wedding anniversaries (I'm a traditionalist). Good luck with your gift and the new baby!
as for the ring... I know my dad got into an accident at work and his ring pretty much saved him from loosing his ring finger. But instead of replacing the ring, my mom got him a watch instead... that's not really cheap though....
hmm, maybe make him his favorite meal for your anniverary? probably something low key since you will be be "oooing" and "awwwing" at your new born
