How was your weekend?

Good morning girls. How was everyone's weekend? Mine was very nice...goes too quickly as usual. =/

Friday: I decorated the cake I made for my niece's b-day party and that's about it.

Saturday: Had my niece's b-day party at SIL's house.

Sunday: Went to the gym with DH and then back to the SIL's for lunch (she lives by our gym). Went home and cleaned my bathroom...yippee! The joys of being an adult. =/

Happy Monday all...

Re: How was your weekend?

  • We had a crazy busy weekend - but it was great! I'm just ready for a weekend of sleep!

Friday - I had off work! but was busy getting the apt clean & packed stuff up for the weekend. We headed down to PA for my sisters wedding in the evening.

Satuday - in pa at my parents. went hiking boot shopping with my bro (he's an outdoorsy expert), then went to visit our college/HS friends in the afternoon. Our friends just had a baby! he's so cute - just over 3 months. Then the evening was the rehearsal & dinner. man, if i had time to vent - i could for hours on that experience. too many cooks in the kitchen and my poor sister didn't really care one way or the other on the 'order of things'

Sunday - the wedding! i already wish i took more pics - thats the photographer in me.  it was a nice small wedding with our family and their friends. then we had to leave to drive back to the city.

the whole weekend felt like a whirlwind! thankfully for the long relaxing weekend coming up. Happy Monday.

  • *DH and i keep saying that all weekends need to be 3 days!! That'd be awesome!! Wink

Fri; Astoria Beer Garden with friends. It was fun! I didn't talk to many people there other than my friend that i hadn't seen since his bday March 1st. He and i had a lot of catching up to do. But i was excited for his bf to meet DH cuz they're both Red Sox fans! Didn't stay out too late and we were home just after 10pm

Sat; Botanic Garden! We were seriously thinking of just staying home and cleaning up but i was getting in a crabby mood (thanks AF!) so i was like 'let's get out of the apartment!'. It was a *perfect* day for it too! Not too crowded, amazing weather... Then we headed in to the city for burgers at Corner Bistro in the West Village and then to Union Square to see Star Trek. And we ended up standing in line with people we know! How odd! And i really liked the movie!! We were home by 8:30 and continued to watch tv. What a perfect day.

Sun; brunch with friends. Then came home and literally sat on our bums all day watching tv! I was about 4 weeks behind on Fringe, so i got caught up. And watched the season finale of Dollhouse. And that's about it!

I'm kind of tired today. But once i make it thru this week, DH and leave on Sat to head to NM for a *week*! Woo hoo 'vacation'!

  • You guys are killing me with the "Happy Monday" wishes! LOL I hate today! LOL

Alright, my weekend was a blur so I will just say that this house is taking over our lives. We got a lot done this weekend, sans our contractor, who is acting sketchy and we had to dump him. We are currently searching for one to work with us and our budget.

We have till this weekend to move out and move somewhere. It's tight but I am praying that our upstairs (thats all we can get done for now) will be ready.

DH and I had a major fight about the prospect of moving in with MIL. I think I crossed the line but I really don't wanna move in with her. She makes every little thing a problem, I don't need that stress. anyhoo, I apologized.Angel I just can't wait till the house is all done, and we can have our regular weekends again. Tongue Tied

    We didn't do anything really.

Saturday we sat around, and Sunday we went to the ILs and did laundry.

  • our weekend was pretty good, so not ready to be back at work!

friday night DH & i took a walk around and then grabbed a pizza at our favorite place in fo hi.?

saturday we had a lazy morning at home (we totally should have cleaned but the lounging was nice), i got a haircut, DH got an old school shave at the art of shaving, then a quick trip to target and home.

yesterday, we went to new jersey for our first gay wedding. which also happened to be our first church wedding in a long time. it was a really nice ceremony and the reception was a lot of fun.?

  • As much as I hate this hole in my nose and walking around with a huge bandage on my face, I must say that I am enjoying my weekends without all the running around like crazy and bellydancing at a million parties.

Friday night DH and I went to see Angels and Demons. It was good, the book was better.

Saturday my Godmother, her husband, and my parents came over for a bbq.  Godmother's husband helped DH prune these two shrub/trees in our backyard (he is a landscaper).

Sunday I taught my dance class, then stayed in and graded finals, paid bills and cleaned.

  • It was actually a very relaxed do nothing weekend.

Friday night we went in to have dinner with my dad and my cousin and his new wife. It is the first time I met her and I haven't seen my cousin in a couple of years, so it was their first time meeting BabyP. He had been in serious trouble (with the law) about a year ago and it was nice to see him finally straightened out and doing good for himself.

The rest of the weekend was just hanging out at home and relaxing!

  • I had a crazy eventful part to my weekend.

On Sunday, DH and I took a road trip to take two of his cousins all the way from Throgs Neck to Seaside Heights, on the Jersey shore where the boys will be living and working for the summer. They are college students from the Carribbean, so we couldn't let them foll with the bus system on the weekend. We had a good time and they're sweet boys, although it was a four hour trip total, with traffic!

Funny thing, as DH was loading the GPS with the info., I told him the address of Oceanside Dr. sounded like it must be located right on the Jersey shore, but because I do tend to be directionally-challenged and he knows his way everywhere, he quickly dimissed it! Boy was he surprised once we got closer and saw the water that I was right!
