  • Congrats on your child free uterus!
  • YAY! And that's great you won't have to deal with taking BCP everyday anymore!

  • Congrats!  Did the doctor try to talk you out of it?  Most of the time they don't like giving that if you haven't had kids yet.

  • she's never tried to talk me out of it but she HAS said for the past 2 yrs that she's not a fan. hormonal BC doesn't work for me anymore bc of my migraine meds so when she found out what i was on for my headaches she was like "IUD, stat!"
Damn you Nest for screwing up my siggy!

  • I love love my IUD, in fact I've had it in for 4-1/2 years and come september I will be having it removed and have another one put right back in its place!
  • and FYI mine in Mirna, I've had no issues with it, I didn't really get a period for the first year, after that every other month or so just spotting, they're starting to become more regular now, but I'm reaching the end of my 5 years.
  • I know a lot of you weren't happy to hear we may start trying but my neuro gave me 6 months to try, oral surgeon said I should probably start trying ASAP so we are officially off BCP, but if we don't get pg in those 6 months I'm going for the Mirena, I loved being on Depo--no period, no chance of pg, no daily pills.  But I like the idea of the Mirena because I won't even have the 3 month shots!
