where should I take my mom?

She is coming to visit soon, and we are going to celebrate her birthday!

I'd really like to take her somewhere she's never been, different and that's super good.  She isn't a beef eater (so Id rather not go to a steak specific resturaunt)...she does LOVE fish (especially salmon), and she likes chicken, eats lots of veggie dishes, and salads.

Any recs?  Preferably in Ft. Worth or the HEB area, but would go to Dallas if necessary.

  •  IN FTW:

I hear Eddie V's is the bomb...but pretty pricey

Daddy Jacks downtown is awesome seadfood

There's always the casual Lillys Bistro on Magnolia..

Also, anyone wanna help me fix my html for my pic below?

  • There is Truluck's in Southlake - for Seafood. It's a little pricey but might be a nice for a birthday dinner.

  • Eddie V's is awesome, but pretty expensive, again, AWESOME seafood. Daddy Jacks is also very nice, plus it is in DT Ft. Worth and you walk around after, maybe grab ice cream at Marble Slab. They have these really good ritz cracker/crab meat stuff shrimp, yum!

  • I second (or third) Daddy Jacks.  They have a great lunch menu

The best salmon I have had around here was at The Porch in Dallas.  There food in general is awesome and they have a blueberry martini that is slap your mama good

Warning No formatter is installed for the format bbhtml
  • Are Eddie V's and Daddy Jacks comparable in price?

Eddie V's is pricier, but the ambiance is stellar - very modern.  The food is amazing as pp's said!  Daddy Jack's is more casual and they have great lunch prices if you decide to do that.  The crabmeat stuffed shrimp is one of my fave's too.
  • victor tangos is my new favorite restaurant in dallas. if she loves fish have her try the ahi tuna nachos and the sea bass skewers. amazing!
  • La Duni in Dallas.  Its delicious, reasonable and has incredible desserts!
