Bakers - Please come in!!
Hi there!
http://bakerella.blogspot.com/2009/05/candy-cup-caps.html
I'm *attempting* to make the above for my cousins graduation...I'm doing the cake ball ones that she made in blue. Can someone tell me how to achieve this coloring in the candy melts? Do I just keep using the blue coloring in the white candy melts until it becomes that deep of a blue?
Sorry I'm new at this...
TIA,
Melissa

Re: Bakers - Please come in!!
Alrighty...the blue ones I found are all very light...like Baby Blue. I didnt know if they magically got darker once melted or something..hah thanks for the tip! I will buy enough candy to play around and hopefully get it right!
Thanks again!!
I'm making the same thing for my brother's graduation! I am not attempting the cake ball recipe, just the Reese's ones. I'm no help, but good luck! I hope mine turn out okay!
Have fun!?

I would order the candy melts she is recommending if the ones you are finding seem too light.
I have made cake pops multiple times and unfortunately even with adding food gel instead of liquid food coloring, the melts still seem to separate from the water content in the gels. It ruins the batch of melts.
all I have to say is, you are brave! I won't even attempt her stuff, looks too indimidating.
I want to see pics of the finished product though!
