Electric Bill!

Was everyones electric bill higher this month? I know they changed the billing date so it's now due a week and a half to two weeks later then before. My bill was $225, which is almost $100 more then what it was this time last year....I figured it would be more b/c of the change in billing date but this seems more the I thought. Yeah we did have our air on a few days but not that much.

I hate bills!!!

Mine was actually A LOT lower! It was $42.50 to be exact. Normally it is around $100-$150 depending on the time of year.

Mine was lower, too, and we had the AC on for two or three days! I think mine was no more than $60. I wonder why yours was so much?

I probably have a different Electric Co than you - Atlantic Electric, I think. But ours was only $35, I believe. We had our AC on for 2 days. Almost everything else in our house is gas - so we don't use a lot of electric.

WTF. We were away on vacation and ours was $125. We turned off everything and never turned on the AC during the heat wave. We have PSEG.

The lowest ours has ever been was $98. Do your bills include gas??

Ours was $140 and we have PSEG. I think that's pretty normal for this time of year.

I don't think ours is any higher because if it was I'm pretty sure the hubs would've complained about it.

Wow, that is high! ?

My mom emailed me this morning abouth her bill, and told me it was only $66.00! ?She was so stinkin' excited!

Thankfully, we don't have to pay for our electric since we live on base. ?Ah, the perks of being married to the military! ?

I'm almost positive that ours was normal... that's really high! I'd check to make sure everything was read ok. And just a tip I recently heard if you want to lower the e-bill... Apparently some companys will charge you less for using electricity at off peak times. So if that is the case with your company you guys can try and run certain high use items at those times ( dishwasher, dryer, washer...ect...)

Can't find the bill at the moment, but I'm pretty sure that ours was a little bit lower this month than it has been. (And I had the AC cranked those few hot days.) You might want to look into it, because that seems really high.

We have Atlantic too and ours was WAY lower than usual, of course we were gone for a big chunk of time.

I had atlantic city electric and my gas is on a separate bill (that was cheap, also) this month.
