Store Rec's? Near Keller

I'm moving to Keller and wanted to know if there were any bargain stores around. Up north we have Marshalls, BigLots, Job Lots, Kmart, Christmas Tree Shop etc. Are there any near Keller?

Re: Store Rec's? Near Keller

  • I don't know what is near Keller (odds are there are at least 2 of these stores close though), but I can tell you that we have Marshalls and Big Lots here. Most if not all of the K-Marts in the area closed a while back. But we have a ton of other stores that are similar to Marshalls, TJ Maxx and Ross are two that are big ones.

  • My favorite stores here like that are Marshall's, Ross, TJ Maxx, and Homegoods (which is TJ Maxx but all home stuff - SO great!).

I think there is a Christmas Tree Shop in Arlington, but I've never been. And there are lots of Big Lots and dollar stores sprinkled around.?

Your best friend when you move here is going to be google! (that is not meant in a snark way whatsoever!)

I've moved 2x within the metroplex in the last few years and your best bet is just to google "TJ Maxx in Keller,TX" Even if there isn't one in Keller, it will pull up the closest. And you'll soon learn that even if there isn't one in Keller you can run to Southlake or North Richland Hills or wherever. We don't have very many big box companies in Coppell but I'm always able to get everything within a quick drive to Lewisville, Irving, Grapevine, etc. And driving city to city within DFW is quick, they all mesh together and sometimes you won't know what city you're in!

  • Thank you!!! I only ask because I know where I live there are alot of hidden jewels that really don't have an online presence. You wouldn't know unless you asked the locals.  But I'm glad I will see some normalcy down there....Big Lots is my fav store!!!

Are there any stores around that are a must see?! I need to decorate once we get there and my husband and I won't have a bedroom set. We have a layaway store up here....but what furniture place in the area gives the best bargains? THe store we go to here isn't searchable online.

  • I love the Big Lots in Keller. It's a pretty good sized store with a good furniture section and layaway for furniture. We got a great deal on our couch and chair in our living room from there. There aren't a whole lot of stores in Keller proper, but a 10 minute drive towards either Watauga or Southlake will get you to pretty much any major retailer that you can think of. I know you mentioned furniture stores too. There's a great Home Goods store that's about 20 minutes away at 635 and MacArthur (in fact, we're leaving in a few minutes to go so I can spend the gift card I got as a reward from a credit card); it's a great place to get a good deal on unique furniture and home decor items. And then there's always Ikea in Frisco, which is just a short drive up 121 from Grapevine. I think you'll like it here!

  • In the same shopping center as the Big Lots, there is a Stein Mart and Tuesday Morning.
