This is so random but do you have any idea about how many gallons of paint we would need to paint the foyer, up the strairs on the first floor, the living room, the stairs going to the 3rd floor, and the hallway on the 3rd floor? We plan on using one color but I can't seem to figure out how to calculate how much we will need. TIA!

I'm sure if you have the measurements of each space they will be able to tell you where ever you get the paint from...

Butting in too...I recommend Valspar. I've used both Behr and Valspar within the last two month and I think Valspar coats ten times better than Behr and we didn't need as much paint. I also recommend a primer if you're covering a dark color.
If your stairwell and hallway are anything like mine (my stairwell is 18 feet high) I think you're going to need at least 3 gallons for the stairwell and hallway and maybe 2 for the living room. Measure everything and take it to the store...they'll be able to tell you for sure.
Sorry - I'm just seeing this now. Home Depot tells you how much you need for a certain sq footage. We had a painter do most of our house - and he told us what to get. I think for our living room, kitchen, both stairs, foyer and upstairs hallway - we got a 5 gallon bucket. We used Behr in our whole house and were happy with it. Plus, I think HD has a sale on Behr right now (saw it on TV).
Most of our walls only needed 1 coat and some touchups with the Behr.
