Hair Straightening Iron ?

If you own one, what brand do you own?  Do you like it?  Price range?

I got my haircut today (rescheduled from Fri. night) and my sister (who cuts my hair) used a Chi iron on it and I really liked the way it looked but I know those suckers are pretty expensive.  I tried telling her that she should buy one for me for my birthday coming up in a few weeks but she just laughed.  I think she may still get me one, but it may not be a Chi, which is fine, I just want a decent one that does the job.

Re: Hair Straightening Iron ?

  • I have the Chi.  My hairdresser used it on my hair and I really liked it.  But I don't have the patience in the morning to use it on my hair.  In the store I think they run over $100 but I got mine new on ebay for $65.

  • I have a Sedu from Folica.com.  It was about $100 a few years ago.  I really like it.

  • I've heard excellent things about both the Chi or the Sedu so I don't think you could go wrong with either one.
  • I think I'll just leave it up to her as to which brand she buys me...since she's a stylist, I doubt she'll buy me crap, at least I hope not ;)

Thanks for your recommendations though girls.
