Need Restaurant Suggestions

Hi Gals,  I'm a nestie in Omaha and for work will be coming to Dallas.  We are staying at the Hyatt Regency, 300 Reunion Blvd, in Dallas and I am needing the name of the area that we will be in or some restaurants that would be close to the hotel and preferably have a private room for a party.  Can anyone offer any suggestions or point me in the right direction? Thanks

Re: Need Restaurant Suggestions

  • Looks like you'll be right directly in downtown.  Your hotel is adjacent to Union Station, so you can use the DART light rail to get around downtown.  It's $3 for a day pass, unlimited rides.  From there, you can get to the West End, which has several restaurants to choose from.  There are also some restaurants and bars along Main Street a few blocks from your hotel.  Check out www.yourdspot.com for a list of restaurants in the area.  I always see lots of private parties going on at Campisi's, which has good pizza and Italian food...and there are plenty of other places to choose from nearby too.

  • THanks!  That helps me get going in the right direction.
  • Check out Iron Cactus - it's a great restaurant and they do a lot of private parties and corporate events.

  • You are right next door to Wolfgang Puck's Five Sixy - depending on how big your party is, you might try there.

there's quite a few mid-range restaurants in the West End area, ask the conceirge.

  • Five Sixty does do private parties but it's on another floor (still with rotating restaurant). If you can;t get your party there, you'll have to eat there one night you';re in town, b/c it is wonderful and so fun. Watch out for the stiff drinks.
