Dog Walkers/dog sitters

Hi-

  I am hoping that someone on this board can help me.  We have two dogs and are going out of town for about 10 days later this summer.  Usually we leave the dogs with my sister-in law, but she cant take them this time, so I am hoping to find a dog sitter/walker to come to our house about three times a day to take care of them.  One of my dogs was abused before I got him so he can be a little wary of strangers.  Since he is like this, I do not want to use a service that sends a different walker every time.  Does anyone have any recommendations?  We live in the Lakewood area.  Thanks in advance :)

    Have you checked with your vet? ?One of the techs that works at mine does pet sitting on the side, so that worked out well for us since she'd already met my animals and I knew that she was comfortable around them. ?Or, they may know someone reputable that they can refer you to.

    I live in the Lakewood area too and use Beth at Bird, Dog, Cat, Fish.  She charges $16 per visit and she's very reliable.  Her phone number is 469-235-3374.  Tell her Allison recommended you!

    Oh, and she does all the visits herself, so you don't have to worry about different walkers and different people entering your home.

    They send the same sitter unless it's some crazy time like Christmas holiday you may have someone different.  I've used them several times.  If she doesn't cover your area, she may can recommend someone.

    I have actually thought about starting to do this on the side. We currently have 2 dogs and I have had dogs all my life.
