So this room is now where our "office" is located.
We put a new desk in there.

The hutch is where the fish tank is in the first picture and the rest of the desk runs underneath the window (like in the example above)
I was thinking about getting these curtains but then realized that the valances are sold out.

but in this color:

Would it look ok w/o them or should I keep looking? If keep looking, what are some ideas you have?

The first picture is the color of the wall right? And the desk sits in front of the window? (Sorry, I'm slow on the uptake this morning). If it were me, I would do something in neutral tones and a roman shade since you can't see the bottom of the curtains anyway. I love the look of Roman shades when they are up. If you do decide to go with the curtains, I don't think you need the valance. I have curtains in our bedroom and no valance, but I did a really decorative rod.

Oh...Ok! ?I misunderstood what you were trying to do. ?You don't need a valance though - get a decorative rod and it'll look great. ?Or I do like Kristi's idea of the roman shades.?
