Photographers - one more question
Bear with me! Last question
My friend has a Canon XTi. Her husband is going to be in a body building show next week. I think she's going to rent a lens. What lens would you suggest for something like that? I have no idea where they'll be sitting in relation to the stage, but I imagine she'll be far enough back that she'd need zoom in some
Re: Photographers - one more question
a 24-70 would be a pretty good lens if she's sitting not too far away.
on the telephoto end a 70-300.
Maybe Lynn will reply - she'll know for sure.
Sorry RJ, I've opened this thread and haven't responded. Without knowing where she is sitting, her experience with shooting, and the lighting this is such a broad question.
What lens is it that she has in repair? The 18-55 kit lens? If she's comfortable with that lens and doesnt' have a lot of time to practice with a new one that is her best bet.
If I was shooting something like this, I'd bring like 3 lenses, just in case!
a prime (50mm 1.4)
a midrange zoom (24-70 2.8)
and a telephone (70-200 2.8 with image stabilization)
Thank you! She didn't say what lens it was. I assume it's whatever came with her camera. She has no experience as this is her first camera that's not a P&S and it's only about 2 months old.
Thanks! I'll definitely pass these recs on to her!
