Last week I posted that I had an interview yesterday- Well I cancelled it on Tuesday. Chris & I talked and we just decided that now is not a good time for me to be changing jobs.
Currently I work 2 blocks from the school I go to. If I changed jobs i'd live an hour from work, and then another hour from work to the school, and 30 minutes from school to home- that is to much driving in one day. I wouldn't have any flexibility with my work schedule for school, right now at my current job i pretty much make my own schedule and if i have to leav ein the middle of the day for a class its no big deal since its down the street a few blocks.
We are also going to buy a house beginning of 2010 - it is a few counties away and to far to drive to keep the same job. So I felt like I shouldn't take a new job where I was going to be leaving soon ne ways.
I felt good about our decision. No regrets---so far. ![]()
Re: Cancelled Interview-
Jena, so glad you talked all this through with DH and feel good about it. It sounds like there are some good things about your job (even if it's just location and flexibility) so that's a plus! GL with school and hopefully you'll have a super job in 2010 once you buy the house:)
I am going to be going for medical billing/coding. Which is what my job is right now--- i work in an urgent care center so what we do is very minimal compared to what a hospital or something does. I would eventually like to work in a hospital, or a big billing center that does billing for multiple doctors/hopsitals....OR ideally i'd like to work from home doing billing for a doctor or two- but i don't know how likely that is to happen...oh well a girl can dream
