Re: Flame Free Friday!!!

  • I'm really kind of hoping it storms tomorrow so DH doesn't go play golf AGAIN. He's gone every Saturday for several weeks in a row. I'm glad he enjoys it, but I just want a lazy Saturday at home with him!
  • We are going to San Antonio next weekend for DH's grandma's 80th b-day. Both of DH's sisters and kids are going, as well. One sister wants to follow us down there and I really would rather she not. We want to do things as we please and would rather not have them tagging along. I'm pretty much willing to leave town early Friday morning....before the sun comes up....just b/c I know she won't get up that early.

When we go to Sea World, I've got news for them - we aren't going as one big group. We are going to do our own thing and will be happy to meet up with them for lunch, but I'm not going to try to walk around Sea World with 4 kids & 5 adults all wanting to do/see different things.

I'm sure I'll piss someone off next weekend, but oh well.

  • I can't stand foot jewelry, i.e toe rings or anklet or anything painted on the big toe.  My receptionist, who is 56 is sporting all 3 on the same foot.

Other than that, I'm leaving for the Bahamas on Sunday and I've got nothing else to complain about!

  • Sorry Kate, but not everyone wants your hair, so get over yourself

Speaking of Jon and Kate - I don't get why the world cares so much about their possible affairs.  I know they invited the media into their lives. But isn't enough, enough? I hope their kids are ok through all of this mess.

  • Kate's hair reminds me of the Flock of Seagulls dude

haha...I think her hair is hideous. I can't believe she thinks everyone wants it.

  • i think it looks like a backwards mullet.
  • things never to say to a pregnant woman:

    "Wow, you're about to pop."

Thank you for comment on my weight, can we discuss yours?

    "You're still pregnant?"

Yeah, pretty sure this massive belly mean the baby has yet to leave my body.

"when are you going to have that thing?"

     like i know.

    "are you in pain?"

    Yes, look at me.

  • OMG Peanut07! I just got married and that scares me.........the scenario that you describe is wild. Do DH's sister want to join you two alot for other family gathers or just this one? Space is important to me, especially when I want to experience new things with DH.
  • I hate Kate's hair too.  When they show the old home videos of when she was in college I always think "grow your hair out again".

No, they don't want to join us for everything, but DH's family all lives here in the DFW area, so we are often together for family events (birthdays, holidays, etc.) This particular incident was when we were all in San Antonio for DH's grandma's 80th b-day.

We do our own thing, but when his older sister and kids are around....they drive me nuts 99.9999999% of the time. It is their lack of respect and his sister always pulling the 'pity card' that drive me nuts. We usually see them maybe once/twice a month during the summer and less often during the school year.

lol I can totally see that! I can't stand the whole J&K thing and haven't liked them since the show started

  • I can't stand my neighbors daughter. She's like 5 and stands on their driveway and yells incoherent things at us if we are outside. Once she barged in my front door and started yelling something about our dog in the backyard. She needs a muzzle.
