H passed the first part of his job "interview"
Whee. He put in a written application for another position within his company a few weeks ago. They called to request him to attend a 3-day training which would be part of his interview. This position is much more physical than his current one and part of the interviewing process is checking that he can handle it. It was very tiring and he came home with lots of soreness and a couple of gnarly bruises. They even sent a couple of guys home after the 2nd day. But, DH made it through and they said that they were going to recommend him for the 2nd round which I think is an actual interview. If he makes it through that, the 3rd round is another training that lasts a few weeks. You have to pass this training to get accepted for the position.
