my local is "Outer Boroughs"?
Thanks to Marie427 pointing it out, I noticed that on the
Boards page it now has my area as "Outer Boroughs" with a link that doesn't work. WTH?! Is this board so busy that we need a separate board for Outer Boroughs? How many girls here are actually in Manhattan anyway?

My Planning Bio
Finally! A Married Bio!!
UM Isn't NYC all 5 boroughs? I wanna know whose genius idea that was. Geez....?
Brooklyn. The New Suburb. LOL ?
Dear Nest gods,
Don't bother fixing the link, we won't use it.
Thanks,
Helene
yes - exactly!
Yes, I have it too!
Its annoying cause instead of clicking on the "New York" Board I know have to scroll down to "New York" every time I am getting on...ughh
Someone on MM called Brooklyn "an urban suburb" the other day! I was pretty annoyed about that. If Brooklyn is a suburb, then Queens must be farm country.
..insert laugh track here...
Why does the Nest focus on these sorts of things in the first place?
I would personally like to know why we don't have a link that says "The other side of 4 Bridges" or "Next stop Jersey" .... cause Staten Island should totally have its own board. I am seriously jealous of Manhattan right now :P
"Outer Boroughs" just sounds like "POO ON YOU"
Guys, that is so so strange. ?We don't have that board and don't have plans to add it. ?Our IT dept is looking into the issue and we're just wondering, when did you first notice the change? ?Any help we can get is appreciated.
TIA!?
Ditto this. Marie427 pointed it out to me yesterday (or whenever I started the post)
Exactly what D said.
{***whispering in the corner***}
BTW, as someone who grew up in Manhattan, I have always considered anything that isn't Manhattan to be "Outer-Borough". And yes, I still say that I live in the "Outer-Boroughs" now. I know it is horrible, but it is just one of the prejudices that I grew up with that I have trouble breaking. That and Bridge and Tunnel People. Sigh, I'm sorry.
My husband has informed me that I am a terrible UES snob but he loves me anyway. I hope you all do, too.
Sorry.
Me too. I guess Westchester is "Hudson Valley" but no one on there lives in Southern Westchester, which is fine, but I don't know anyone in or anything about say....Poughkeepsie. I feel like I can't really contribute.
Mrs. Kocal, you wouldn't be all alone, I live in Bayside, I'll talk to you
