30 DS - Day 6! And a poll!

Ok, I have a confession to make - I did not shred yesterday.

After teaching in the morning and then gardening all afternoon, I then went out with friends and by the time I got home it was 11:00.  I was honestly planning to shred at 11:00, but I was so tired and sore that I decided my body would benefit more from the day off and the rest, than it would from the workout.

 But I am back in action today!! I'm already wearing my sports bra underneath my work clothes so I have less to change into when I get home :-)

 Ok, so, to keep things interesting, today's poll is:

 What is your favorite excercise in Level 1?

Waht is your least favorite excercise in Level 1?

 My favorite is any of the ab work.  I have pretty strong abs (cuz I'm a bellydancer), so they are all easy for me and I like easy things :-)

My least fave, by FAR is the anterior raises and a side lunge.  WTF?  I cannot, for the life of me, lift those damn weights straight out in front ofme like that!  And those side lunges just feel awkward.  I've ended up using only ONE five pound weight, and holding it with both hands, because that's the only way I can do it!  I hate that move!

  • I'm more than a bit off track, but I'm going to do it tonight before I even turn on a tv show. 

    I'm not really sure that I have a fave, but I definitely know my least faves... push ups, and the "jump rope".  lol, of course these should be the easiest since they're the kind of thing you start when you're like 6, but omg do they kill me!

  • I did my workout yesterday am. woo hoo! but that was the only excercise i did. lol. had way too much fun lounging in the park in the afternoon.

    ok - favorite - i do like the abs, because i'm relatively good at them

    least favorite - the first strength one - where you bend at your knees and then raise weights over head. always kills me. but i do agree that the anterior raises are really really hard.

    and i think i should confess - my weights are wimpy 2lbs - so props to you for 5lbs!!! hee hee

  • I cannot for the life of me get committed to doing the 30 Day Shred everyday, let alone every other day.  I really need to do it!!  Even doing it every other day, I notice great results.

    I love the ab workouts too.  I also HATE those anterior raises w/ side lunge.  I cannot do them either!  How funny... I thought it was just me.  Even with 3 lb weights in each hand, it was so hard.  What's up with that?  I just do a modified exercise that is very similar.  I also hate the push-ups.

  • I am at about every other day right now just because of time.  I really want to try to do it more frequently, though. 

    My favorite workout are the squats because I know I am working my bum.  My least favorite are the side lunges with the arm raises because I am working out with big water bottles now and by the time I get to that exercise my hands are too sweaty to hold on to them.  So I do them without weights but try to create some resistance.  When I get weights, I'll make that exercise my new favorite.

  • My fave from Level 1 is definitely the ab stuff. I've been doing modified cardio.?

    My least fave is the squat pushes. UGH!! ?

  • I just did my shred today, and ....dare I say it....but I think that day off was helpful, because it actually felt a little *easier*.  Not EASY, just easiER.

    And I'll admit, I didn't shred yesterday either.  After my 4.6 mile run (yay me!) and my little bike ride with DH, my legs couldn't handle the idea of 30DS.  Plus laying in the park was much more appealing.  :)

    My favorite from level is the chest fly one.  It's just super easy and I get to lay on the ground longer!  I'm with everyone else on the side lunges and raises.  I can't make the lunges feel right and my arms start to scream with the raises.  Mrs. Kocal, I'm using 5lbs too, so I might try your workaround - thanks!
