Re: Gipper's Girl

  • Aw, thanks for asking :)  It was amazing!  The countryside and the little villages (where we spent the majority of the trip) are just too beautiful for words and the locals that we met were so warm and friendly.  There was something to take a picture of literally around every corner, which is why we have nearly 1300 pictures to sort through.  Surprise  Still working on that ... We were in a small group tour, which is something DH and I would have never chosen for ourselves, but now that we've done one, we would totally do one again.  It was great not to have to worry about the logistics of anything (esp. since we had 24 hours notice for the trip and we don't speak French) and to get to know the other couples in the group.  Also the fact that our tour guides lived in the village where we were staying and had many friends so we got to do a lot of things that you would not get a chance to do if we were on our own or with a large tour group.  If you ever want to visit Provence, I highly recommend The Luberon Experience!  I could go on and on,  but I'll stop now :)

  • There are wildflowers everywhere over there.  In the fields, in the cracks in the old cobblestone streets ... everywhere.  I have never seen anything like it.  Very beautiful, but made my allergies go nuts!
