heartattack

We have one of those co sleeper bassinets that attach to the bed. Joaquin was in the bed while Isabel and were in bed playing. Isabel called Idk-my parents dog that we are doggysitting so she comes out and instead of getting on the bed she leaps right into Joaquin's bassinet, I yelled and caught her midair and so that she landed half on the bed half in the bassinet straddling Joaquin. I'm not sure how I did it but I managed to get Idk and Joaquin out of the bassinet at the same time without Idk getting on Joaquin. Joaquin was just surprised and than smiling. he just thought it was a game. but man my heart is still pounding. I've already put something in front of the bassinet to block Idk.

Re: heartattack

  • Scary! We have to keep a close eye on our cat when she starts to get that curious look about the baby. I'm glad you were quick on your toes!
  • so scary! I am glad J is ok!!

I read bassinet as basset hound at first and got really excited; my parents have two basset hounds. lol

  • That's scary. Mom instincts in action there.

The dogs name is IDK? Or I don't know. lol

Bo always sits on my lab when I'm sitting on the floor and he has tried it twice when Mary is sitting on my lap. She had to very swiftly be moved off my lap.

  • yes Idk is her name and that does stand for "I don't know" she was kind of an airhead as a puppy. now she's a 40lb golden retriever lab mix
  • My dopey dog did the same thing at my moms house the other day.  For whatever reason he can't jump on our bed, but the bed there is low enough so he did and came really close to landing on her.

Scared the sh!t out of me, and after I finished yelling at him he sulked around the rest of the day. Embarrassed I'm glad you caught him in time, sounds like he's a pretty big dog.

Oh, wow. That's hilarious! That's pretty small considering it's a retriever mix. How old is she?
