I think I want to grow out my hair.
At least somewhat. Of course, every time I think that, I think "I like my hair shorter though... but it would be nice to be able to throw it in a ponytail again...or put it up again... or have that many options again!"
Pros and cons to growing out or keeping it short?
Re: I think I want to grow out my hair.
I am growing mine out right now, the prenatals I take have really helped it grow.
The only con I can think of is when it is longer it takes longer to blow dry, style and costs more to color and highlight. A pro is what you already mentioned, then you can put it up in a ponytail or updo and I just feel that if it's a bit longer you have more options on how to style it.
I was actually coming to do a hair post! ?I can't decide. ?Grow it out or cut it off again. ?Ponytails are nice but I always have to fix my hair anyway.
I don't blow dry my hair - I wash it at night. ?When my hair is long it's more unruly and I have a harder time fixing it. ?I think I'll cut mine again...?
This. Mine used to be less poofy after sleeping when it was long - the slightly heavier weight must've held it down. LOL
My bangs are basically grown out, but it's the only way I can describe the mini-poof when they're pulled back. LOL The last time I got my hair cut, she actually evened it out so my "bangs" are now like 1/2" shorter than the rest of my hair. So no bangs for me - they don't work. And I hate how my forehead breaks out from them and all the extra styling they require. I'm more of a "throw some gel in, flat iron the front, and go" kind of girl.
And I think I'm going to try and grow it out again. At least a few more inches. I miss this hairstyle:
I was going to grow my hair out again, but I couldn't handle it. Now it's shorter than ever...the back is prob ~1 inch long and the top is 1.5-2 inches long. Love it though...it takes me 10 mins to get it done.
I do like the versatility of long hair though...but I know myself and I won't do it. The last time it was long, I'd go to sleep with it wet and call it good in the morning...it really wasn't though.

c'mon Val.. that's what I do half the time when I have long hair! LOL
But short hair... it's so much work, it feels like. My hair HATES style, apparently because unless its long it refuses to obey or takes tons of time to do. I would love to keep it above my shoulders, except everything I try is more work than I'm willing to put into it!
I've been growing my hair out, it's past my shoulders now (the prenatals have made it grow insanely quick) and I much prefer longer hair to shorter hair. For me, shorter hair is a lot of maintenance. I had to pretty much wash it every day. I wash my hair every other day now. I love how pony tails look. Head bands with a slight curl to my hair. Or by itself straight. It's all one length (including bangs) and so quick to blow dry.
