What is everyone doing for the big one year????

August is here!!!!

What is everyone doing for their one year anniversary?

Re: What is everyone doing for the big one year????

  • I am not sure. If we get good weather, we might go on a little day trip out to the beach and have dinner somewhere. How about you?
  • We're going to a concert next Saturday. Then, next Monday night we're going out to dinner and staying at the hotel where we were married. Finally, the morning after we're going to play a round of golf.

Nothing too crazy, but I thought DH was hilarious for insisting that we celebrate our anniversary on the actual day and take off two days of work.
  • We are going out to dinner on the 11th that night to our favorite resteraunt, but on Sat. we are going to Cabela's and on Sun. we are going out on the water in the boat and jet skis with family and friends

P.S. Did yall save your top layer of cake and are yall going to eat it on the one year anniversary
  • I'm ordering a small cake and I plan on taking DH out to dinner at a nice place. We didn't save our top layer. When we get home I'm cracking open the wine and we will have a little cake too.
  • I can't believe today is our anniversary already. Wow! We aren't doing much today because Dh works and then has class tonight.  On Friday we are going to see Jeff Dunham though, and I'm very excited about that.
  • Last night we went camping, made dinner and drank the wine we bought on our honeymoon. Tonight (our actual anniversary) we're going out to eat and just spending the day together!

  • I forgot about the cake! We saved ours, but I doubt we'll take it out to dinner. I guess instead we'll eat it after our anniversary. I'm slighly grossed out by eating something that I know is over a year old. That just doesn't sound tempting in my mind.
  • Happy Anniversary Everyone! My husband and I are going Skydiving in the morning - so excited - a clever way for us to give paper to one another. Diving into the next chapter of our life - purchasing a new home, beginning our family. Then we are driving back to Brooklyn (where we live) and renewing our vows we wrote for our wedding under the Brooklyn Bridge where he asked me to marry him. Then to Le Bernadin for a romantic dinner. We both took the day off to celebrate - I can't wait. I made him a calendar of last year's events from Aug 2007 to Aug. 2008. I saved all the receipts for our monthly celebrations, date nights etc and putythem in the calendar. Enjoy your 1 year celebration!
