October 2007 Weddings
Dear Community,
Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.
If you have questions about this, please email help@theknot.com.
Thank you.
Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.
"Good Bye Lovely Knot" ;-)
As some of you may know, my husband and I are about a week away from moving to a Middle Eastern country for two years!
I haven't been posting on the knot or even checking the board much lately because of all the packing, organizing, logistics, and seeing friends and family before we go, and I doubt I will post much in the near future (although, depending on whether we can get a high-speed internet connection set up before Ramadan, I might find my way back to this board at odd hours of the day!).
So, I just wanted to post a small note to let you all know how much I loved this community that we created together. Whenever one of my friends (hey, or even acquaintances) gets engaged, I always recommend that she post on her club board, because I honestly feel like this board - and all of you - enhanced my wedding-planning experience, made it more fun, and really created some memories. The ability to laugh with other brides-to-be about the inanity of weddings was something I truly treasured, and I feel lucky that our board rocked as much as it did.
I hope to keep in touch with many of you (see my facebook page for our travel blog), and I wish all of you the best that newly-married life has to offer!
