AW: I'm a citizen!!
I'm finally a citizen, after nine and a half years living in the US (I was lazy and procrastinated for a bit). Now it's all done, had the swearing in ceremony this morning and in three(ish) weeks I will have my brand new American passport. Yay! I'm proud of myself - I think a celebratory drink is in order

When my friend from Syria became a citizen, we made him signs that said "Welcome to America" - he had been here for 12 years at that point.
LOL, Danielle! It's a good thing my DH isn't too creative or I'd have signs like that waiting for me when I got back yesterday, hehehe.
