Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

July GTG plans (it's in York) Clicky Poll
Hey girls! I just wanted to get some ideas for the July GTG because this one might actually require some more planning than usual.
We had a suggestion for a picnic and I think this is an awesome idea. There is actually a park in my neighborhood which I can reserve (I live in East York, right off of 83 and a mile away from rt 30 and right off of 462) for a $20 fee (and I might be able to get a discount because I work for the Summer Parks program). I was thinking if we did this I could do hamburgers and hot dogs and everyone could bring a dish along, and maybe chip in $2 for the park rental. What do you think?
Or we could get together at the Bead Works place, which is also in East York (easy to get to off of 462, which is easy to get to off of 30) and make jewelry.
What do you think? (Kylene, you could come to my house and ride with me to the bead place, which we discussed earlier).
Please give me your opinion with your vote as well! And what days might be better for you. Since it is summer, the park wouldn't close until like 9pm, so it wouldn't be an issue to do it on a weekday evening if that is what everyone prefers. I am pretty flexible with days so suggest a few dates! The only date that would be out is July 11th. That is my bday and we are going to The Melting Pot for dinner.

I voted for the picnic. I would do either of them but I think the picnic sounds great!
Now, the days I can't make it are the 18th & 25th. Those two days I have weddings. I'd like it to be earlier in the month because after I have those two weddings, I won't be able to take time off, even during the week, I'll just have too much work to do.
I said picnic since it should be nice out and we could save the bead works for the middle of winter when no one wants to be outside!
Right now earlier July is best for me. If everything works out we will be closing on a house around the 15th and will need to be moved by the end of the month. (:crosses fingers:) but really I would make it work either way, lol. I would suggest evening since it is July and evenings are a bit cooler.
