We are back from the honeymoon!

We absolutely enjoyed every minute of our honeymoon and loved the alone time we had with each other.  We really loved Turkey they had better ruins than Italy and Greece and our dollar goes alot farther than anywhere else in Europe.  Also Turkey has the most beauitful countryside and Istanbul was the cleanest and most beautiful city I saw on our travels.  I would recommend beautiful Turkey to anyone.  They also had the friendliest people we definitely plan on going back to this amazing country.  The weather was wonderful!

Actually we are probably heading there next summer MH's parents are taking the whole family on a Med cruise next summer so we head back to Europe again next Summer.  We can't wait to go back!  We decided to hold off on baby plans since we love traveling and don't want to try until next Summer.  I just had to let everyone that a Mediterranean cruise is awesome and I was so impressed with Carnival.  They really surpassed my expectations in customer service and our room stewards were fantastic. They really made our honeymoon so very special! We have become cruising fanatics and can't wait until our next cruise!

I am busily right now organizing the hundreds of photos we have (Geoff took 400 photos of Istanbul) so I have my work cut out for me! :)  I will post small portions of what we saw so I don't bore anyone.  We are historians so we captured every single little detail.  By the way Pompeii was amazing and I got to go into an ancient brothel with the pictures still showing amazing colors.  I studied Pompeii so it was so amazing to see all the things I had studied and wrote about.

We are still majorly jet-lagged and I am very tired but back to work today trying to get back to my normal routine.  Geoff leaves for six weeks next week with his band back East.  It is good money but we will miss each other terribly.  We found out we really enjoyed traveling together and it was so wonderful to be with someone who truly apppreciated all the things I did.  Every historical monument, musuem and ruin was fascinating to us and we knew the history together.  I have truly found my soulmate in every way.  We are happy to be back with our family and friends and our two beautiful cats who we missed so much!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful Summer and enjoying thier vacations! :)

  • Hi Jennifer, welcome back. =) I'm so glad to hear you and your DH had a wonderful HM. The places you visited sound wonderful. Hopefully, one day Joey and I will be able to make it out to Europe. We're headed to Aruba in November...so, I'll have to take that for now. :)

Have a wonderful summer as well...
