I just read your blog. Your intern sounds like a nightmare.

This week began our influx of interns as well, and I love how most of them wear suits on their first day. Granted, we're not a shorts type of office, but we're also NOT a suit-wearing office unless you're senior management.

Good luck.. it's going to be a long summer, you're right!

Re: * Izzy *

  • I thought today would be better, being that my coworker kind of set him straight about some of his comments, but today has not been any better.
  • The blog gave me a chuckle. I'm with you on 1, 2 & 4. I don't think #3 is that big of a deal but I probably wouldn't show up on Day 1 with something that needed to go in a fridge. First, I'd find out if there was a fridge &  how big it was. If it was full-sized and in a common area, assuming it was for everyone's use isn't so far out there. If it was like a dorm fridge in someone's cubicle, then I'd figure I better start bringing PB&J.

Who did he say #5 to and what was it in reference to? It seems extremely rude and I wouldn't be gutsy enough to say it on day 1 of an internship, especially if I was hoping to get hired at the end of it. But I'd probably ask nicely how someone would like me to do a particular job because that would be easier than trying to guess or asking a million little questions that would most likely bug the crap out of everyone.

I am looking forward to 10 weeks of entertaining blog entries though. Good luck not strangling the kid!

I'm pretty sure it's pronounced your mom's a moron and if you didn't have your name legally changed by the age of 22, so are you. Unless you're from another continent. -Groomz
