We are having a bbq this weekend at our house. How does this menu sound? I am open to suggestions, changes, anything.
Drinks:
Fresh water w/ lemon slices
Sangria
Beer, Wine, Mixed drinks
Apps:
Guacamole, pico de gallo and tortilla chips (We are going to eat shortly after everyone arrives so I don't want people filling up)
Dinner:
Chicken & filet shish kabobs with yellow, red, green peppers and red onions
Roasted red skin potatoes sasoned with garlic, salt and fresh parsley
Grilled sweet corn on the cob
Green salad with cucumbers, tomatoes, parsley, dried cherries, croutons and balsamic dressing
Fresh baguette
Dessert:
Fresh fruit plate w/ pineaple, watermelon, blackberries, raspberries and strawberries
A pie or cake of some kind. Not sure yet, I was thinking berry something

I think it sounds good - I wouldn't go anything more.
My mom also made something like what Melanie posted except it used cherry pie filling.
If you wanted to save time, you could do like two different pies and just buy them.
It sounds really good. I wouldn't add or change anything. For the water, I also do water in a pitcher with cucumber slices. That is very refreshing. And I will also put blackberries and raspberries in water sometimes. Just some different ideas.
You could buy a fruit tart. The ones that have a light custard and are topped with strawberries, other berries, kiwi, etc. I get them a lot and they are a big hit.
