Lesli.. Just wanted to tell you that I LOVE your new hair cut!!!  I agree with you, I like your hair short better, only certain people can pull that off!

(oh p.s. I couldn't figure out how to put a comment on your blog, so I put it here!)

Re: *MOORENOLES*

  • butting in...i agree....you look GREAT with short hair.  I love the new style.  I am trying to figure out if I am going to chop mine or not. I really want to go to Philly or Baltimore and get my hair straightened again (I did it in LA and it's $$$ and a whole day ordeal but so worth it).  I'd love to have shorter hair but with it curly it gets wierd.

I did it in Los Angeles when we were living there.  I got the "yuko" system done which I think is one of the originals. I got a different chemical straightening done at Luxe in Lemoyne and it didn't do jack. The closesest places that do the yuko are philly & baltimore (last I checked at least) so since I know that works, i'd rather put the money into that than and have to travel than put it into something else that might not. I paid an insane amount but honestly worth every penny. I could towel dry my hair, walk out of the house, run my fingers through it a few times and it was poker straight. it was pure heaven

  • Thank you so much ladies!  I'm glad I made the decision to cut it.  I will be a short haired girl the rest of my life.  I tried letting it grow about 6 or 7 different times in the last 10 years and I always end up cutting it short.  It feels so good to have it short again and it is SO easy to do in the morning.  : )

oh ok... I went to Changes to see about having it done there, they use Goldwell products not Yuko, but they claim the same thing that my hair would be pin straight (it is naturally curly and wavy now)  Their quote was $550 which included shampoo and conditioner to take home, lunch and the straightening.

I paid more (for shoulder length hair - not a ton more though) and didn't get lunch or the takehomes.  I am just hesitant to invest in something else I don't know if it'll work. i wonder if they have any guarantees on it.
