need suggestions for a dish to take to party tonite..

hi ladies, i need a dessert, appetizer or side dish to take to a party tonite.  something that doesn't need to be kept warmed.  any ideas/recipes?  thanks!

  • I have this recipe saved on my computer at work and it is very yummy.  It could be used for any course. 

    Strawberry Bread Recipe

    Ingredients:


    3 cups all purpose Flour
    1 teaspoon baking soda
    2 cups white sugar
    1 cup veg. oil
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1 Tablespoon Cinnamon
    3 eggs beaten
    2 (10 oz.) pkg.'s frozen strawberries (no syrup if possible, halved) thawed when you mix in bowl

    Directions:

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
    Mix dry ingredients together.
    Mix wet ingredients together.
    Combine dry and wet ingredients in bowl.
    Pour mixture into 2 greased and floured loaf pans.
    Bake at 350 degrees F for one hour for standard loaf pan. Bake for 45 minutes for half loaf pan size (mini loafs)

    MMMMM...I love veggie pizza!!!!  I make that a lot. It has been awhile though and I bet that would be good for my GD diet.  Um, I may have to buy the ingredients at the grocery store tonight.  Thanks for posting this!

    Oooh I make a Pampered Chef version that is similar to this but I haven't made it in a while.  It might have to go on my list for next week :)

    oh, and i love the veggie pizza...i make a recipe similar to that one and it is delish!! 

  • Trifles are always quick and easy.  You could pick up fresh strawberries and/or blueberries and layer them with store bought shortcake and a cool whip/cream cheese (with touch of sugar and vanilla to taste) mixture.
