Speaking of recipes . .

Are these really good?

http://tastyplanner.com/recipes/6587-lil-smokies-cocktail-wieners

I know people always rave about them (and the meatballs in grapejelly) But I've never had them.  My Mom picked up some little smokies and isn't sure what she wants to do with them for tomorrow.

I've heard people use bbq sauce instead of chili sauce . . any idea which is better?  I see bbq sauce being better than chili sauce.

Re: Speaking of recipes . .

  • I am a fan of the meatballs/grape jelly/chili sauce as a quick and easy party dish.  It sounds gross but it is good.  They also are slightly healthier than the wieners since they won't have nitrates.
  • Yeah we already have the weiners and just needed a way to use them up.  If its good with the meatballs I guess it will be good with them too.  I can't get my Mom to get over the grape jelly part lol.
  • Whenever we make these we always do them with BBQ sauce - Sweet Baby Rays is our fav.  Very easy, just dump them in a pot w/ the BBQ sauce and heat them up, or you can put them in a small crockpot too :)
