I have about 36 hours of things to do in a 24 hour day. I am ready for this school term to be over. I did not get everything I needed to get done this weekend done and it is frustrating me.
My fiance was offered a promotion and a rather substantial raise two weeks ago. Today, he went to the office and they told him that he still had the new job, they just wern't going to pay him to do it. So now, he is doing his existing job, along with another job, and not getting paid.
I am close to tears at work, he gets so taken advantage of I cannot stand it.
I knew this job was bad news when it was offered to him.
My car broke down and DH only half way fixed it because he didnt feel like fixing it all the way yesterday. Now i am driving a halfway broke car. UGH
It is Monday and my hip is still hurting.
I feel ya. David is in the same boat. He is working in a supervisor role but they didn't change his pay. They keep throwing out that he will get a promotion but they just keep adding responsibility and no added benefits. They change his hours a lot and sometimes with little notice. Last week they cut lunches to 30 minutes (so added 30 min. mandatory overtime) I really could go on...They constantly take advantage of him and it is not fun to watch. David is kind of stuck there because he is working on getting a teaching job and doesn't want to leave his current job until he has a teaching job. Eventhough they treat him poorly, he is just happy to be employed.
Sucks, doesn't it?? We have been trying to look for another job for Brandon... but there isn't anything out there in the financial world right now. Today was kind of the straw that broke the camel's back... so now the search is ON!
Anyone know of any financial jobs out there? LOL... :-)
My DH went through the same thing. They gave him the promotion, but told him that there was a freeze on hiring and pay raises until business was more stable. Luckily, they gave him his raise a few months ago, but he had been working without the added pay for nearly a year. His thoughts were that he was glad to have a job and in his situation he would ultimately still be doing the extra work even if he hadn't taken the promotion, so at least he had the title and could put that on his resume should he need to look for another job. Also, he trusted that his company would make good on the raise when they were in a better financial position. Hopefully your DH doesn't have to wait too long for his pay increase! I know it can be frustrating.
