East Shore Ladies: Farmstead Farmers Market

I know there are at least a few East Shore ladies on here...

I'm probably one of the last to know about this place since I don't get out towards Grantville very much since my parents moved but I recently discovered, thanks to my mom, the Farmstead Farmers Market on Rt 743 near the Rt 22 intersection and I totally love it.

It's open Fridays and Saturdays and I've been there twice and got great deals of fresh produce.  First time I went I got green peppers, red pepper, yellow pepper, lemon, lime, bananas, and a huge white onion for around $6.  Friday I went and got red pepper, green peppers, bananas, red onion, and fresh sugar snap peas for $6.25 and the peppers are enormous.  I'm really going to try to get the majority of my produce there since the quality and price are better than Giant.

  • Thanks for the tip...that's awesome ~ I'll have to try it out!
  • Thanks for the info.  I will definitely be making a trip there.  I'm a big fan of peppers and they can sure be expensive.

No problem! I love peppers too and used to buy the 3-packs at giant with red, yellow, and orange but this much better. The green peppers I got were 2/$1.00 and red or yellow peppers are $1 a piece.
