Healthy Habits?

I know it's only Tuesday, but I just realized I won't be here tomorrow to put up my typical Wednesday post.

So, what have you done that's good for your body this week? Any new exercise progress or healthy AND tasty food creations?

  • been eating really healthy this week!!?

    Made swordfish steaks one night this weekend and one night last week I made Ahi tuna steaks. first time cooking fish and oh my goodness they turned out yummy if I do say so myself.

    and I've been drinking a lot of water.

    today tho, mother nature decided to arrive a few days early and I feel like crap and I am craving junk food... I really want a big mac or something, but I am not going anywhere today so not gonna do that. instead i'm gonna make myself a big salad and drink some gatorade. ?

  • I've been eating a granola bar for breakfast in the morning, then for a snack I'll have an apple or some unsalte macadamia nuts. Then for lunch, whatever i've brought and dinner just depends.  Last nigth I had shrimp salad and that was good.  Tonight maybe a sammich.  I've gotten to be really concerned about my cholesterol.  I've always had pretty high cholesterol, but the last time I gave it was 303 and now I'm really worried.

  • Nice work ladies! Meg - that is scary about the high cholesterol. But, it sounds like you are staying on top of it with your healthy food choices, etc. (ps - sorry no pic of my jersey babe yet. I'm out the rest of the week at our summer meeting, so it may be next week before I have it up...)

    As for us... I haven't run this week because it's been too busy at work, so that's a bummer. We ARE NOT eating enough fresh fruits and veggies! DH and I normally have rice or whole wheat pasta with farm-fresh meat or tortillas with veggies and meat as a late supper. (or some variation there of) But, we've been using up canned veggies and I'm not always the greatest about buying enough fresh stuff either.

    Goal - go grocery shopping this week and stock up on fresh produce! And, soon we should start having fresh tomatos and a few other things from our little garden. That should help!

  • I am horrible at eating healthy! I dont eat straight junk but as far as eating fresh fruits/veggies. It doesn't happen. I am drinking water though, so im pretty proud of that. I still havent drank any mtn dew, im doubly proud of that- I do drink a low carb monster a few times a week. it has 3 carbs and 10 calories and a shiTload of other crap....but i haven't been sleeping well and i need something to get through the day.

    My friend and I have walked around the lake every day this week. We are going again today, yay!
