Re: Morning (Tuesday)

  • Our evening was pretty low key. Eric and I did some much needed grocery shopping. Tonight we will watch the Laker game and I'm thinking on making potato/beef tacos for dinner.
  • I folded lots of laundry. I still have a ton left to do though tonight. I guess that what you get when you wait till you have to do laundry and then do a ton of it at one time. Dh has come down with my cold so he has been complaining a lot. Probably tonight we will just relax at home.

    Val- potato/beef tacos sounds good!

  • Good morning. Last night we didn't do much of anything. Tonight I will be picking up around the house and getting ready to leave Thursday.

    Have a good day all.

  • We did more house shopping last night, and maybe a few more tonight. It's getting kinda old :)
  • I've come down with something. My entire body aches, especially my legs and my head. Last night it was like 80+ degrees in the house and I was freezing. DH came home from work and started b!tching about how the house felt like an oven, but I honestly couldn't tell. This sucks, because I have the baby to take care of and I'm afraid of getting her sick.
  • Becki - It gets really frustrating looking at houses constantly and not finding anything you like or that would work, H and I spent months in that holding pattern so good luck!

Last night was low key, we had leftovers, H watched the Laker game and I went to bed early. Today I'd like to take the dog for a run assuming I get out of work on time. For now I've survived another day of layoffs...we'll see what happens tomorrow...

We've found plenty that we like, but lots of other people like them too Sad We just have to keep at it.

Glad you made it through this round of layoff. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Irma - there is something really nasty going around. A had a temp of 100 all weekend and I am still not 100%. I also had a cold when he was about a month old - he was congested but nothing too bad. Hope you're feeling better soon! Taking care of a baby while you're sick sucks, there's really no way to rest! BTW-How is bf-ing going?

  • Morning!

Yesterday we went to Islands for lunch because I was craving a burger, then I did a ton of running around getting things ready for my friend's shower this Sunday.  Later H and I went to Sushi Monday with my family followed by ice cream! Unfortunately for me it was a bad m/s day and none of my food stayed down =(

Today I think I am going to tackle some laundry and maybe get a pedicure.

  • Good morning!  Last night my dad BBQ'd dinner, which was great to have someone else do it!  I LOVE having them here to help us out!  I still felt pretty bad so I went to bed early and got a pretty good night's sleep.

I took Sarah for her 15 month checkup this morning.  She got her stitches out and got 2 vaccines.  She was miserable!  The poor baby!  I almost started crying!  She's up to 31.5 inches tall but still weighs only 19lbs 8oz.  The pedi said not to be concerned about her weight...she's growing, active and healthy (he's guessing when she's done growing she'll be 5'5" and 110 pounds and super-active...can't ask for much more than that!).  I forgot the Tylenol so hopefully she won't get a fever today...

I have acupuncture tonight after work (had to cancel last week's appointment) and I can't wait!!

Hope everyone has a great day!

Becki, I am almost exclusively pumping. I latch her on once a day, just so I can still feel that bond with her. I finally realized that the fibroid I've had in my left boob is the reason for most of the pain I've felt. I was actually supposed to have a mammogram on it the week I found out I was pg. I can't wait to have it removed because it has caused me so much grief!

Thanks for the encouragement. So far she hasn't exhibited any symptoms. I am trying to rest as much as possible when she's sleeping. I hope you feel better too!

Hopefully your BM will keep her nice and healthy. The fibroid doesn't sound fun :(

I had a horrible case of the stomach flu (had it for 5 days!) when Sarah was 1 week old (came down with it the night she came home from the NICU).  I was exclusively pumping and giving her breast milk...I guess the antibodies I passed on to her prevented her from catching it.  I'm sure your little one will be fine but I hope you feel better!
