half drunk co-worker.
Yup! I work in a small office. In the front office it is 2 receptionists, myself & our office mgr. Then there are also some clinical staff in the back office- Well, one of my receptionists texts me (yes we sit 6 ft from each other but we text, lol , shame on us)... she says "Why is so & so looking at the AA website"....... i text her back "boyfriends name".... i get a text back.... "nope, its for her- she asked earlier if she smells like alcohol" my response "WHAT?" .... drunk receptionist looks like she had a rough night.. Later i am told that drunk receptionist was out all night drinking, and she took one of the clinical staff in the lab and asked her if she could smell the alcohol on her- not sure what clinical staff said- i'm still shocked.... sober receptionist says she has smelled alcohol on her before when sober receptionist first started.....drunk receptionist has been acting awfully strange lately, i mean she is odd anyways, but lately she has just been overly annoying. I would not have suspected alcohol...pot? Yes, i def suspect pot...
I know she drinks, i mean she has admitted they party like rock stars on the wknd (drunk receptionist is 37 & drunk boyfriend is 39 or 40)-- grow up kay?
I have never smelled it on her- she would never get that close to me where I could smell it.
Obviously I can not say anything to anyone because all of this is hear-say. I believe every word of it but i'm just shocked, and laughing at the same time.
To bad we don't do random breath alcohol. I totally would have suggested one today.

wow. As bad as that is, its also funny. The office I used to work at they would always talk about how the old receptionist would come in drunk and high and all this. She would literally fall out of her chair while talking to patients...ya that bad. They finally told her she needed to get help and put her into rehab...lasted all of about 2 weeks. Still that is not a very good way to come to work, very unprofessional.

She was not obviously drunk. I wouldn't have known if someone hadn't of told me. I'm not sure how "Drunk" she was or, if she was buzzin, or hung over. but if she was worried about smellin like alcohol i'm gonna say she was probably a lil drunk. i mean dang you didn't take a shower? ohh this lady is wack.... i've wondered about drugs as well...i wish we did random drug screening here...but we dont. she acts like she is high.. she never smells like it. i wish i could record her and show ya'll how wacky she is...no one believes how off the wall she is.
As sad as this is, the way you told the story was classic. Differentiating between drunk receptionist and sober receptionist, hahaha too funny But I agree, they still are partying like that and they are that old?? Give it up people that's just ridiculous to me. I mean could understand being liek that on the weekends, but coming into work like that??
