How'd you find a pediatrician?
My OB gave me some numbers from their list today, and I started looking them up on ratemd and some of the comments freaked me out. Out of curiosity, I looked up my old pediatrician, who is still practising but not that close to me, and she doesn't have a single bad review.

I was referred to mine in the hospital. DD was born with a "bent" foot/ankle and she wanted to see us a few weeks after we got home. Ever since then, I've kept her and gone over issues I've been concerned with DD (when she had Rotavirus, etc)
Other than that I see my family doctor (for reg checkups and shots)
Since we did not have one, we were referred to the one that was on call and would be looking after RJ when we were in hospital. We really liked her a lot and decided to stick with her afterwards. Her associate is awesome as well. So we have a win win situation when she is away he steps in and looks after the little patients.
As for us, she follows RJ for everything except for his vaccinations...we go to the Public Health Clinic for that. (they were also the ones that came in a few days after I got home with RJ to check on us)
I take Alex to Dr. Aubrey Maze at John and Bayview. He shares the office with Dr. Freedman who I think is even better (a bit more personable whereas Dr. Maze is a bit more quiet).
I never have to wait long for appointments (few minutes) and anytime Alex is sick, they always fit us in the same day, it is such a peace of mind. The receptionists are amazing too.
