I have a desktop computer, and a laptop (which is for work). I have a wireless router that I use to access the internet on my laptop. My desktop computer does not have wireless access (there is a cable going from the wireless router to my desktop computer.
Is there a way that I can make my desktop computer wirelessly connect to the internet? I'd like to move my desk to another area...but don't want wires going everywhere.
Re: Any computer techies?
Get a wi-fi router- so easy to do!
I have one so I can go on the internet for my PS3
i need to completely read before posting, sorry. I am retarded.
Ignore my answer, and wait for some smarter people to come along.
yes you can get either a wireless card installed in your computer (you will have to open it up and screw it in and connect it.
OR a really easy solution is that you can get a wireless card that connects to your USB port.
Here is an example:

If your router is "old" like wireless B or G then you can get a pretty cheap USB connection. Don't bother getting wireless A (or whatever newer standards) because they cost more, unless your router is one of the newer standards
