Surprise birthday ideas
I am planning on having a surprise party for my Mom's 50th birthday. Where should I start planning wise? I am debating on either having it at my house with a pool party theme and just BBQ hamburgers and hotdogs or having it at a restaurant. Dh says to have it at our place because the party will last longer. I've never had to plan a surprise birthday party on my own before so any suggestions would be appreciated!

You didn't mention the date, but if it's going to be this summer, i'd do it at your house too. Unless you think it would be too stressful and too much work.
But if it's at your house, it would probably be way cheaper, and more personal.
