Hey girlie! Since you're so fab and in the know, I thought I would ask about Dani's headbands. Where do you find them?
I am starting Sammy's collection, against DH's will (he hates them, I think they are fab!). I figure if he won't let me get her ears pierced I should at least win the headband argument!
I have found a few at Gymboree but I want dressier ones. Any suggestions?
Thanks girl!
BTW, Gymboree had infant sunglasses on clearance. Got two pairs for .49 each. Get there!
Re: Nat
I'd be glad to help! Betty and Pam both asked me on FB as well. I'm more than happy to be the resident baby girl accessory afficionado. LOL
Ok, some of the good stores to hit for these include:
Gymboree, H&M, Bonnie Togs, Ardene, Claire's (they actually have a baby section - at our local mall, it's at the back of the store), WalMart
I also make my own. I get bands from Claires, Ardene, or sometimes even Shoppers Drug. The thick ones that look crocheted stretch from baby head to big fat heads like mine. If I was really crazy, I could make Dani and I matching headbands - can you imagine ?!?! AHAhAHA
Ok, so anyway - our local Ardene had those flowers on sale $10 for 5. Thoe flowers come with 2 to 3 backings - including some kind of fastener (like a clip or a closed pin), and a hair elastic. I just cut out the hair elastic.
I don't feel comfortable using pins (regardless if they are closed ends or not), so if they have that, I just cut/tear it off and use a gentler type of sliding clip (like a bobby pin).
Then you can MIX AND MATCH them! The possibilities are endless!
Have fun with it!
Thanks!I didn't even think to check Ardene or Claire's. I am going there tomorrow.
You should totally wear matching headbands. Really though, Sammy has some dresses that I would love in grown up sizes.
We have a family gtg on the weekend and she needs a new accessory! It will be the first time since she was a few weeks old that anyone on this side of DH's family has seen her. So she has to look super cute.
I also thought to make some of my own. I am kinda crafty, but truthfully, I've never sewn anything, ever .I will need my mama for this one.
I've seen really cute baby barrettes (sp?) but Sammy has nothing to clip them to, so we'll have to wait for those.
You've inspired me, I'm going shopping tomorrow. Poor DH is gonna hate this. She's gonna be so stylin'.
Thanks so much Nat.
