So we're heading camping in a while and I can't decide what food to bring... I'm tired of the same old. Anybody have some good camping meals they really like? We have a stove top and the fire to use...
Re: Camp Food...
We always do mini pizzas on the BBQ (with greek style pitas). Yummy.
Steak, chicken, burgers etc. We have a table top BBQ that you're welcome to borrow if you want.
We usually go all out when it comes to food sometimes at camping!
Breakfast: Eggs, toast, breakfast sausages or ham
Lunch: Grillled Chicken with a salad of some sort
Dinner: Steak or Pork Loin, corn on the cob, baked potato
I can't remember the last time we ever had burgers or hot dogs when going camping.
you're asking the girl who thinks camping is staying in a 2 star hotel.
LOL
I wish I could help! Amy's pizza idea sounds yum!
this might be the usual for you, but I love wrapping sliced potatoes in foil with butter, salt & pepper. yum!
We made steaks on the fire for our 1st year anniversary
woah! These ladies are Amazing. I admittedly and less impressive. however I only ever work with a fire no other grill.
I love doing tinfoil dinners when we camp.
We also do spaghetti, subs, grilled chicken salads (make chicken at home ahead of time), pancakes, eggs, steak, baked potatoes, grilled cheese, garbage can chicken (seriously), salmon, portabello mushroom burgers.
This, but we also put onion slices in with the potatoes...we made this at home growing up since we never camped!
Rice Noodles with Peanut Sauce
Ingredients
We do this camping when we go with a friend of ours who has celiac disease. It's easy and it doesn't go bad not being in the fridge and we mix it all ahead in freezer zip lock back and just boil water and put the bag in the boiled water to heat.

These are a staple for us.. Adam's with the onions, mine without, he adds garlic cloves not too. With Steak, it's our fave camp meal.
Thanks for the all rec's ladies, seems like we all make the same things.. but those tinfoil dinners are new... I'm going to try to convince Adam to give it a shot.
Joe was not convinced either. He was giving me the side eye the whole time I was making them. Once he ate them though he was all over it.
I guess I should add my favs incase anyone else is reading... aside the potatoes mentioned, we do pasta, bacon, eggs, pancakes.
My fav campfire snack though are s'mores and apples with cinnomon butter. You core the apple and stuff it with butter and cinnanon, wrap in foil and throw in the fire (coals) for like 10 minutes.. bakes the apple and the butter melts everywhere... mmmm
Also as we discovered last year.. Marshmallow cooked then dunked in Baileys
I want to go camping just to try these!!! YUM!
