Any left-handed people out there? I'm NOT, but I for some reason am obsessed with lefties....I can spot them a mile a way, and I like how they write!
It's so funny but I have a whole table of guys at the back of my classroom, and 5/7 of them are lefties. I am just watching them write their quiz right now and think it's neat! (I know, weird obsession).
I'm sure lefties may not think it's so great, like when you can't find a pair of scissors to use :P
Re: Lefties!
Mom, why are you washing my feed in the sink?!
But what if you want to use the circular saw!?!?
Mom, why are you washing my feed in the sink?!
I'm a leftie....I don't find that it impedes my life TOO much....but, for example, DD got this super cute dish, that is kinda shaped like an artist's palette, so you can stick your thumb through it and kinda balance it on your palm to make it easier to feed her, but I can't use it because the thumb hole goes the wrong way!
Oh - and I don't write with my hand all crooked over - which meant growing up I always had ink all over the side of my hand because I would write and then my hand would smear it all...and pencils would always smudge. Both my grandpas were lefties, my mom's a leftie and I swear DD's a leftie. She prefers to use her left hand for toys and grabbing, and stuff.
It's a good thing I'm a teacher, equipped with left-handed 'learning-scissors' for when she needs to learn that skill.
My DH is a lefty and has adapted to using right handed things with his left hand, eg. scissors, he has never used a pair of left handed scissors.
The funny thing is all of the guys I ever dated were lefties....kind of strange.
I do use it on occasion but since he needs it for work, I figured it's better that it suits him than me. I can adapt for the few times I use it.
Oh, haha! I didn't realize you use it. I'm a big dork. Sorry!
Mom, why are you washing my feed in the sink?!
No worries. I'm handy like that.
I'm left-handed, and my biggest pet peeve was in university, when a right-handed person would take the "leftie" desk (most of my classes were smaller, so there weren't that many left-handed desks to go around.
I've had a lot of people comment on my writing ("you have such nice writing for a leftie"). I can't write with certain pens though (the really inky ones) as it smudges everywhere. I have the same problem with pencils, I end up with lead all over my hand! I enjoy writing with a nicely sharpened pencil though...
I'm not a leftie and I still can't cut a straight line..lol!
Both DH and I are lefties, and I hope LO is as well.
I always give a shout out to the lefties in my class. I think there is something extra special about us too!
Me too!!! There were only ever like one or two leftie desks! I was happy when we had classes in the buildings with benches (so no tiny half desk that discriminated, lol)
Oh !!! I totally forgot about that....yeah...that sucked!
Is THAT why my hand always gets cramped up when I cut.....because I'm a leftie? I never realized!
