Words/phrases you can't stand
Any?
I cannot stand "hella" and "dat" as in "wuz dat?"
I mean, really.
FB is full of this crap.
Re: Words/phrases you can't stand
I cant stand it when people mix in capital letters in their words. oR tYPE lIKE tHIS. ? So annoying, I just skip over it and dont read it all.?
Oh, and I hate when people type like they text. ?Actually, texting with abbreviations such as, "How r u 2 day?" is ?super annoying too. ?Just spell out the damn word!
Also things like "O by d way..."
ugh!
when people say, "giiiirrrrrlll."
drives me bonkers.
"You know wha I mean?" and "You feel me" repeated a few times in one sentence or used as the ending of every freaking sentence. Drives me crazy.
I am shamed that I have so many FB friends that use these phrases!!
This should be my criteria for deleting "friends". Funny, a lot of them are cousins.
My former coworker would type "cuz" in emails to our board of directors.
*Ahem*
Considering your roots in the bay area my dear, hating the word "hella" is blasphemy.
Signed,
The girl who hella used to say hella all.the.time.
the text lingo doesnt bother me... i do it sometimes too, mostly out of laziness. It is sort of annoying when people type massive amounts of uppercase and tons of exclamation points in one post..unless its something extremely exciting, but to do it in a normal conversational posts is annoying.
hecka and hella used to annoy me... esp when i lived in northern california for a few years. but i got used to it. also when people said "norcal" or "socal" it bothered me. now i just laugh it off.
Womannnn! My roots there only started in HS, so I seriously have cerro attachment to hella. I've always hated it.
It's so funny because I still have friends back there that use hella all the time. Blegh.
It's still a commonly used word up there. I hear it quite a bit while I'm out and about while visiting my folks. It warms my heart. ;-)
I think cooter is an awful word. And I don't like when people use "cuz" when referring to a cousin.
I love hearing it, it makes me feel at home. I heard it all weekend from my friend's husband.
I have a friend that hates this word, too. I use it constantly around her. And, technically speaking, she is not a friend.
This!!
Words/phrases I can't stand:
-true that ? or ? true dat
-my bad
-supposibly ?
?
This one kills me. I always want to scream, "there's no b!"
my friend, who's a teacher, says this. along with punkin.
